职工交通安全专项整治 Special Rectification of Traffic Safety

Notice on Special Rectification of Traffic Safety

All international students:

In order to prevent and reduce the accident caused by driving motorcycle (including e-motorcycle) and e-bicycle, safeguard the international students’ life and property, the university will launch a special rectification of traffic safety among international students according to relevant government laws and regulations. We hereby notify the related issues as following:

1. Driving motorcycle and over-standard e-bicycle is strictly prohibited on-and-outside campus. The motorcycle and over-standard e-bicycle is required to be sold before May 25.

2. E-bicycle which meets the government standard is required to be registered for a license plate. Dates for registration will be informed later. Before obtaining the license plate, the invoice and quality certificate for the e-bicycle is required to be carried while driving.
Remark: The government standard for e-bicycle: Curb weight≤40 kg, and maximum speed: 20 km per hour.

3. After May 25, the University Safeguard Department will work with the traffic police to rectify the illegal driving of motorcycle and over-standard e-bicycle among international students. Those illegal traffic actions, such as, driving motorcycle and over-standard e-bicycle, driving after drinking alcohol, illegal carriage of passenger, fast-riding, etc, will be strictly punished. Motorcycles and over-standard e-bicycle will be detained. And penalties like fine, confiscation and/or compulsory destruction of vehicle will be imposed according to related government laws and regulations.

关于开展职工交通安全专项整治的通知

全体外国职工：

为有效预防和减少摩托车（含电动摩托车）、电动自行车交通事故，切实保障职工生命财产安全，根据国家相关法律法规，学校将于近期开展职工交通安全专项整治工作。现就有关事项通知如下：

1、校园内外严禁驾驶摩托车和超标电动自行车（整车质量超过40公斤，时速超过20公里/小时）。已经购买了的摩托车和超标电动自行车须于5月25日前自行出售。

2、符合条件的电动自行车（整车质量不超过40公斤，时速不超过20公里/小时）须登记上牌。上牌时间另行通知。取得牌照前，需携带购车发票、车辆合格证、方可上路行驶。

3、学校保卫处将联合宜昌市交警部门在5月25日以后集中对职工违规驾驶摩托车、超标电动自行车等行为进行整治，严厉打击驾驶摩托车和超标电动自行车、酒后驾车、违法载人、飙车等交通违法行为，查扣摩托车和超标电动自行车，并依法予以罚款、收缴车辆并强制销毁等处罚。
